Play with me...

I have had an epiphany this last week.

I've kinda fallen out of love with dresses and am now an avid fan of playsuits.

I've decided playsuits are the way forward, for the following reasons:

1. They are comfortable - providing you're not over 5'10" ouuuchhh!!! ;-)
2. You can get out of a car any which way you like without the worry of flashing your tuppence.
3. You can wear them over tights in winter and bare legged in the heat of the summer... ahem.
4. They are very flattering on most figures.
5. I just like playsuits.

I've come across some super ones from ASOS.com which I am coveting right now.

Party on...

I have a few "soirees" to attend this festive season so have been on the lookout for a knock-out party dress to see me through to the new year.

However, I have been surprisingly underwhelmed with my finds.

Topshop (ALL HAIL TOPSHOP) is my usual one stop shop, yet the guys there have let me down massively this season on the party frock front.

Here is my pick of the best of the bunch:

All dresses available from Topshop.com
Priced from £38.00-£200.00

Saying that, I have come across this little gem, which I fell in love with at first sight, but I have been unable to pin it down in any Topshop stores and it is sold out online.

My favourite is the burgundy, I just love it!!!

Glitter Spot Velvet Dress

3/4 sleeve glitter spot velvet dress with a full skirt in black. 34in/86cm. 92% Polyester,8% Elastane. Machine washable.
Price: £46.00

Sooo... at the moment I don't have a new dress to wear at all this party season so will be reacquainting myself an old faithful me thinks...

My List...

So far I haven't compiled a Christmas List to share with my family, they pretty much know what I like and what I'd want.

My boyfriend on the other hand.... wow.

I have been quite vocal about my want, no, need, for a certain pair of boots I've had my eye on for quite some time.

The ALLEGRA
RRP £75.00 - SOLD OUT

Yep. I know they have been about for some time, and I know, I know, I should have bought them myself when I had the chance rather than depend on a man to buy them for me for Christmas. He didn't. They sold out. He felt my wrath.

When these babies were first released I was unsure. Would they be too chunky? Would they be comfortable? And as Topshops shoe sizes have been quite unreliable this season what size should I get??? Either way I didn't have too long to decide as they sold out pretty much straight away.

I kept my eyes peeled, and luckily they re-appeared on the website, even in a new colour of the covetable Oxblood shade! Oooh! Aaaaand quickly sold out again.
Bummer.

My days are now consumed scouring eBay for the perfect "as new" pair but lo and behold, they are fetching well over £100.

I will just have to keep searching for a lucky bargain or a copycat pair.

If anyone's selling a pair in a UK 7 or UK 8 PLEASE PLEASE let me knowww!!!!

And that concludes my list. Pretty much...

I'd also quite like this House of Harlow necklace...

It was released in 2008 so I am finding it quite tricky to get my hands on one.

Whilst researching I discovered mywardrobe.com were selling this gem for £59.00 in the sale!!!
Aww man :-(

eBay here I come...

Until next time,

Pinch, Punch...

So today is the 1st of December and the countdown to Christmas has officially started.

(Not that I have an advent calendar in which to countdown with... woe as me, I seem to have been forgotten!)

With the festive season now fast approaching, my attention has been turned to winter warmers and seasonal jumpers. And as always, Topshop has come up trumps...

KNITTED XMAS SNOWMAN JUMPER

KNITTED REINDEER JUMPER

KNITTED PENGUIN JUMPER

All jumpers priced at £50.00 - see www.topshop.com for details

My personal favourite is the Penguin Jumper, it is just adorable!!! Although I wouldn't mind any of them in all honesty. Once purchased these cute jumpers can be brought out year after year to celebrate the festive season, so really cost per wear would work out to be pittance :-)

I have taken the plunge already when it comes to winter woollies and purchased myself a little fairisle knit...

KNITTED FAIRISLE COLLAR JUMPER Price: £38.00

I love the nordic style fairisle knit with the cute crochet peter pan collar. It reminds me of jumpers I had when I was little and it has a bit of an 1980's feel about the colours used, it's so vibrant!

I wore it out for the first time this week with my high waisted black jeans and some cute little ankle boots from New Look, I felt very wintery and snug.

It is now unfortunately sold out online but I spied a couple left in Topshop in Derby on Tuesday, hidden behind some chunky knits like buried treasure... And it also comes in a cardigan version!! Hmm...
